THE VERSATILITY SCHEME
We have created the New Scheme to provide something for everyone. It is just one of many new and exciting things we have organised and are launching in our 50th Anniversary Year!
Exciting opportunities we have planned for 2026

Below are the Shows/Events/Competitions that we have included.
These are aimed at all abilities from novice to the more advanced, but hopefully they give everyone a fighting chance of achieving success in the disciplines you love.
You will see that there is also a column for 'Other' organised events, in which case you will be able to include anything else not on the list.
You will be provided with an annual record/achievement form to complete with your evidenced results and you will also be asked to indicate if your achievements are in hand or under saddle by using an agreed letter alongside your entry. As an example you could have been placed at ridden show and you would indicate that by including the letter 'R' in the relevant column alongside your result. Easy peasy!

MORE DETAIL:
We have made it easier for you to confirm your placings. You can still get a show official's signature on your record form, but as our members have discovered it is not always possible or easy to get your achievement card signed. So we have made it so you can (like the Online) you may
screen shot your placings from an official show or event results page and send them with pictures of your record form; or you can e-mail them to me at my address below. It's as simple as that.
To get your record, achievement card/form, all you have to do is to e-mail or message me with your contact details
THE POINTS SYSTEM
We have simplified the points system so it will be very easy to follow. Placings in classes will be from 1 - 10
Endurance and organised ride results will be recorded in a different format. Please see below.
1st place = 10 points 6th = 5 points
2nd = 9 points 7th = 4 points
3rd = 8 points 8th = 3 points
4th = 7 points 9th = 2 points
5th = 6 points 10th = 1 point
Champion - 10 points, Reserve - 5 points, 2nd Reserve - 2 points
Endurance, Organised rides - 1 point per mile/Km as appropriate
for each result at BD/BS/BE/EGB or official affiliated events, add an extra 5 points.
Ridden results should be prefixed with the letter 'R' plus your points, eg R10

We hope that the above information has been helpful. The scheme has been designed for ease of use but if you have any questions or need anything explaining or any advice then please don't hesitate to contact me.
We hope our members will enjoy participating in the new Versatility Scheme
